Do you consider America a Christian nation?

Separation of religion and state

BJake: Wow! I haven't even said anything yet on this topic, and I'm already right. That is really swell! We have never been a theocracy. EVER!!! The constitution is the basis for our countries laws, and it doesn't have any part of it that says we are a Christian nation. I would love it if this were all settled, but as long as fundies keep trying to turn this country into a theocracy by introducing "biblical laws" and altering the constitution to conform to "biblical" standards, I will continue to fight these trends.

We also need fire, one of the 4 elements, you know.

totoro, I think you are just riding the wave of my rightness, for which I have not been duly accredited. :)

BJake: Here's a new one to fight from the Bush administration trying to redefine contraception as abortion as yet another means of imposing "religious morality" on everyone: http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/blog/2008/07/15/hhs-moves-define-contraception-abortion

Totoro you were right, you just hadn't said what I knew you were going to say. I just knew you would say something right when you got round to it!!!

Tralhob you are right and I fully and duly accredit you rightness

Let's all ride on the wave of Tralhobs rightness - it's much better than riding on SGC's sickly righteousness!

Dan is right - bring back earth wind and fire (Great 70s band) and water (that strange substance totoro believes we should drink!)

Good save or what?

Thanks for the site dan - what kind of goverment allows such things to even be considered?
