barefoot running

I'll start to run barefoot, but there are different opinions about how to do it: build up slowly or switch to complete barefoot running immediately. I let you decide!
I'm running about thrice a week. How often should I run barefoot?
Once or twice is enough, shoes for the other runs
I just do my usual three runs, but always barefoot
My feet need more training, so I have to run more than thrice a week, always barefoot

Shorter distance to build up slowly
Just the usual distance
Longer distance to get more training for my feet
On what kind of surface should I run when barefoot?
Some soft surface like sand or grass
Some intermediate surface like asphalt
Some tough surface like gravel
What about competitions?
Put shoes for competitions
Compete barefoot, but choose a barefoot friendly running route
Compete barefoot, but choose a running route that is tough on my feet (e.g. rocky road)
