Do you keep your shoes on inside your house or friend's house or do you just wear socks?

If you don't keep your shoes on, do you take them off because of the house rules or because you want to?

I have two friends who really hate wearing shoes and socks. One of them usually doesn't even wear socks and just wears converse, flats or flip-flops, while the other does wear socks as well but takes them off as soon as she enters a house. Do you have any friends like these?

If you do, do they ask you to take your shoes and socks off as well?

Does your school have a uniform?

If it does have a uniform, what outfit is it? If it doesn't, what clothes do you usually wear to school?

Okay, now for some situations. These have happened to me a few times, and I wonder how other people who are shy about being barefoot would react in these situations.

You and your friend are walking home from school on a warm summer day. You both sit down to rest and your friend takes off her shoes and socks. You start walking again and your friend asks you "Why don't you take your shoes and socks off? It's way too hot for them." What would you say so that you don't have to go barefoot?

Suppose you can't find an excuse so you go barefoot. Would you be uncomfortable on the way home?

Suppose you are going to a friend's house after school. There is a shoes off rule in the house so both you and your friend take your shoes off. However, your friend also takes off her socks and says "Hey why don't you take your socks off too? Don't your feet hurt from wearing them all day?" What would you say so that you can keep your socks on?

Suppose you can't think of a good excuse so you take your socks off. Would you be uncomfortable being barefoot even though you aren't doing anything?

A while later your friend says that it's time to have dinner. You start to put on your socks but your friend says that you don't have to so you stay barefoot. Do you think that you would be uncomfortable and not be able to enjoy the food?

Two other friends show up at your friend's house. They take their shoes off but keep their socks on because your other friend talks about something else and forgets to ask them if they want to take their socks off. Would you be annoyed that you were pressured into taking your socks off while your other friends were not?

It's time for you and your friends to go to bed. You notice that the two friends who were wearing socks didn't take them off so you put your socks on too but after a few minutes they take their socks off and you are now the only one who is wearing socks. The friend who pressured you to go barefoot before is sleeping and the other two don't care. Do you take your socks off to be like the rest of them or do you keep them on?

You are at a friend's house and you are watching tv with 5 friends and everyone is wearing socks. After a few minutes one girl takes her socks off. A few minutes later another takes her socks off. This continues until you are the only one who is wearing socks. Do you keep them on or do you take them off?

A friend comes to your house and she takes her shoes and socks off. She asks you why you are wearing socks when you are at home. What would your excuse be?

You are at school and have just started drama class. The teacher tells the class that shoes are not allowed and that students can either wear socks or go barefoot. You take your shoes off but keep your socks on. Your friends take their socks off too and ask you "Why don't you take your socks off too? It's a lot more comfortable to have them off." What's your excuse for keeping them on?

Your school announces that all hallways and classrooms will now have carpets and that students must take their shoes off and put them in their lockers and they may wear just socks or go barefoot. You arrive in the morning and you take your shoes off but keep your socks on. Your friends take their socks off and they ask you "Why don't you take your socks off too? It feels so good to be barefoot on carpet." What would your excuse be?

Suppose you can't think of a good excuse so you take your socks off too. Since you've done this you will probably have to do it everyday to not appear weird for being barefoot one day but wearing socks on another. Do you think you would be unable to concentrate in classwork?

In the winter it gets cold even with carpet so you decide you will keep your socks on. Your friends however still take them off and since by now they are used to seeing you barefoot they ask "Hey how come you are wearing socks?" What would your excuse be?

Suppose you can't think of a good excuse so you take your socks off too. However later in the day your toes are really cold and you notice your friends have red toes and feet from the cold but they don't seem to care. Would you rather put your socks on and appear weird to your friends or keep them off and endure?
