I intend to join the Army via ROTC through Virginia Tech or James Madison University. I dont believe war is good but sometimes is unavoidable, and in some cases it is stupid. However not all war is stupid. You should all listen to "Have You Forgotten" by Darryl Worley. Seriously now, do you think it was stupid how the US won its independence from Britain , and then kept it after the war of 1812? How about the American Civil War where slaves were freed? Some people seriously need to think before they talk. Now if you are referring to the wars in both Afghanistan and Iraq....well they arn't stupid either. There is a purpose you dont neccesarily have to agree with it though. The War in Afghanistan is a just war. "Have you forgoten how you felt that day when those towers fell and our country's people blown away?" Iraq I think was started because of bad intelligence. However now that we are in there and and making a difference, we should stay in there until the job is done. Nothing could be worse than pulling out at this time. You would leave a country open and vulnerable. But no matter what you should always support our troops!

OMG those spineless freaks of nature. They would rather watch as millions of people get slaughtered by War Lords than try to stop them using force. They are murderers as well. I think that the US should pull out of the UN.....Hell NATO even does a better job than those yellow bellied socialists.

Do you guys have no honor? Some people would actually refuse to be drafted? Im only a senior in high school but i was accepted at West Point as well as the Coast Guard Academy. My decision is to go to West Point. I would rather die for my country than to be traitorous like all of you. How can you call yourselves Americans? Both my parents were MI for their career, spending 32 years in it. My father was a US ranger and went to Somalia as well as was in Operation Desert Storm. The Iraqi people do want their freedom and are happy that there were democratic elections. The only people against us are the Islamic Fundamentalists who need to be rounded up and shot. Our nation's primary purposes are to protect our country and to spread democracy. You will all realize that Bush was right to go to war and Hussein will be convicted and executed BY HIS OWN PEOPLE.

I hope traitors like you all dont come into my eyesight or ILL gladly put either an M4 or the new XM8 through your skull.

I am a astounded that you people think that Bush could have prevented 9/11 or that we went to war with Iraq over 9/11. No matter who the president was at the time it still would have happened. One 2 biggest secions of foreign policy are national security and promoting democracy. The reason why they attacked us was because of our promoting democracy NOT because of president Bush. First we went to war with Al Quaeda and have now nearly eliminated everyone from the deck of cards. That falls under national security and almost every nation supports us openly on that issue. I do believe that we would not have gone to war with Iraq if Bush wasn't president. The reason why we went to war with Iraq was for national security as well since we believed they had weapons of mass destruction. They ignored UN inspectors for too long and when Bush became president he had no tolerance for insubordination. He acted swiftly and harshly, as all leaders should do. He had plenty of chances to open his facilities to the inspectors but refused. He deserves to be punished. He will get what is rightfully due to him (most likely a hanging) by his own people once he is tried and convicted for there is no denying his atrocities. We did not go to Iraq for money or oil as most people think, but rather for the spread of democracy and freedom. There is evidence of weapons of mass destruction but there are no weapons. During the UN inspections he was most likely shipping them off to Syria. The reason why France especially didnt support us on this issue was due to the fact that they were trading weapons and technology for oil with Suddam. When we went in there they lost that trade route.

Bush a bad president???? Hell no. And even if you dont neccessarily agree with Bush we should be proud of being Americans. Be patriots and serve your country.

I have been accepted into West Point so i know i will do my part. Will you? Or will you sit on your bums and watch what happens around you.
