George or Newman?

In "Seinfeld", the pudgy, balding, bespectacled, usually unemployed character played by Jason Alexander is named George Costanza. The other fat guy with glasses, who is a postal carrier, played by Wayne Knight, is Newman. I don't believe his first name was ever revealed.
