i am a new step-mom of 27, with a step-dau of 18 and step-son of 16. We have a wonderful relationship for the most part. Being close in age to the girl means i am sometimes treated as an older sister rather than a parent. This can be difficult when it comes to discipline. We BOTH get spanked and caned by her dad (my hubby as of a few weeks ago) AND Gran (his mom), who strongly believe that girls of all ages need to be corrected and held accountable . i get it harder!

Sounds like either you and the girl, or your husband and his son, are a bunch of child perverts with pedophile tendencies. Your family needs help; this isn't discipline, but abuse! You all need to stop before it gets out of control, and someone gets hurts and reports you to authorities.

Sorry if I'm wrong, I'm just stating my opinion, as I see it.
