Winter outerwear

I have a 16 year old daughter and I have her wear winter clothes year round, even in the summer when it is not cold out. Unless it is very hot outside she has to wear a long down coat, rubber boots, and a scarf in the summer.

My daughter is 13 and I do this with her. We usually have very mild summers so I insist on her dressing warm at all times. How do you dress your daughter in the wintertime?

In the wintertime I dress my daughter very warmly. She usually wears layers of thermal shirts, sweaters, fleece jackets, and several heavy winter coats. When it is not warm out she also has to wear thick snow pants and winter boots.

My parents are like this, they think the slightest breeze will make me sick so I always have to be bundled up. Today when I went outside I had to wear a snow suit, snow pants over the snow suit, plus two heavy winter coats.

Shaynaa, I am glad you keep your daughter warm. I also have my daughter wear multiple layers of winter gear when it is cold out. I usually have her wear several pairs of snow pants, a ski jacket, a long down coat, and a very heavy parka from Canada Goose.
