The BitTorrent protocol uses peer-to-peer sharing, but this means that unlike the usual anonymous download pirate bay files that you will download while browsing, BitTorrent files arrive in a jumbled mass of received packets. Just as your new house from the earlier analogy doesn't just arrive in the back of a truck, but requires careful assembly, the BitTorrent file is not loaded directly into the movie player for direct viewing. The file must be downloaded using a BitTorrent client, which takes these packages and places them in an accessible order for viewing.
