I happened to notice that, of a number of boys who were playing football in the road where I live, all of them wore earrings in both ears.
It's become very popular for boys to get their earlobes studded.

I wish it was the same in England. In the 80s about 50% of men aged 14-30 were pierced. It is no longer so commonplace.

guys earlobe piercing
It's so good that it is socially acceptable for men to wear earings now. I've had my ears pierced since I Jimmy hendrix was alive. I took a lot of $%!@ back then so its really nice to wear earrings whe I want. Iwear a 1/2 gold plug in my right ear and have 2 holes in my left .
