I have come across pictures and descriptions of several real boxing or kickboxing matches where the girl gets the upper hand and either decisions or knocks out her male opponent.

1975 A girl by the name of Marion Bermudez was allowed to enter the Phoenix Golden Gloves tournament in the novice division at 125 lbs. Her first opponent, Edwardo Parras, found himself outboxed and the referee stopped the amateur boxing match in the first round. Bermudez by 1st round TKO.

1992 (approx.) 16 year old Yvonne Chavez of Albuquerque, NM is matched against 15 year old Wilfredo "Junior" Parra of Las Cruces, NM in an amateur kickboxing match. This was his debut match in competition and his shorter female opponent took him apart, and stopped him in the middle of the third round when he wouldn't come out of his corner after a knockdown. Chavez by 3rd round TKO.

1999 At the U.S. Army post at Ft. Riley, KS, the post boxing tournament has one female entered. Fighting for the post 139 lb. title, female soldier Christy Foster comes back from a poor first round to outbox and pummel her opponent Chris Byman, a male soldier, defeating him in the military amateur boxing match by split decision.

Lets have a more realistic view here. If it was a female against a male pro-boxer, it would've been in most cases (actually, I'd like to believe in "all" cases, which is ofcourse in reality not the true) that the male boxer will end up winning every matches. Did you noticed your research was based on amateur fights? Leaving that out of my theory, there is some "facts" that everyone should know... Female arent build for fighting or any heavy duty jobs. This is no discrimination, its just the limitation of what the female body has been granted for. Take a look at weightlifting world records. According to my research Susanne Dandenault from Canada holds a world record in the age category of 35 to 39 FEMALES. Which is what I consider a healthy age. She recorded with the total score of 220 KG (SNATCH 95.0KG and CLEAN & JERK 125.0KG). Dont get me wrong, that is VERY impressive. You wont see me doing the same thing. However, the male weightlifting record holder beats the female record by 115.0KG (by Hasanen Al-Sheek) in the same age category with total 335 KG. Also SNATCH (152.5KG) and CLEAN & JERK (185.0KG). We're talking about 115 KG differential, that is 253.5 pounds. And the difference is a huge matter. Giving you that, I'm not saying that women are weak because I want them to be. But thats how they were "build" for by nature. And without disrespecting the females out there trying to equal in strength with the males, they are very respected for the effort and will to make it. Definitely admirable.
