Where did my Minecraft app go?

My son's minecraft app disappeared. The minecraft files are still in "my files" but the app is gone. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall? or can I find it and put it back on his home screen? It's not in the "hidden apps". Galaxy Tab S 6.0.1

Just try reinstalling the game; I think it will help. I have never installed Minecraft on my phone, so I'm not sure that this will help. But it's worth a try. I always like to play on fresh servers, so it's more enjoyable when everything is in the same conditions from the very beginning.
