I can understand why you would make the poll, and why you would be concerned. It might be because you know there's going to be a lot of prejudice your son is going to face and you don't want him to have to go through that pain. It's hard raising a child, when they don't turn out the way they're "suppose to" or fitting to the "norm", but either way, you should support him. Let him feel proud of who he is, and help him be a stronger person (inside), the fact that he even told you he wants a barbie may indicate at least a level of trust, and wanting to be accepted.
