Going out in your socks - girls & parents

I stopped off at at supermarket today and with her mother was a young girl (aged about 7). The girl wore white socks and no shoes. I remember being her age and used to go everywhere in just my socks from playing out in the garden to day tips out. My friends also used to play out in their socks, in the street, in the park as well as around the house. I hardly ever see girls out without their shoes anymore. So the poll ask do you go out in your socks and if your a parent do you allow it.
