Hey All!
My name is Tanya. I'm a afterschool program director here in Chicago and I was thinking how much I love my job. I hate shoes and anything else on my feet so I knew I had to find a barefoot friendly job. I wear socks and shoes and to work (I ride public transportation) but once I'm at work, the shoes and socks come off. I was just sitting here wiggling my toes and wrinkling my dirty soles thinking about how lucky I am. I wonder can anybody else go barefoot at work if they choose to do so. I love the feeling of walking around the YMCA where I work on the tile floors completely barefoot, feeling every inch of earth on my feet and every particle of dirt or dust between my toes. I arrive for work around 11am and leave at between 7 to 8pm but by 2pm on average, 90% of the time, my shoes and socks are under my desk. I first thing I do when I get barefoot is pick or clean in between my toes. My feet just rebel in their new found freedom. I do this year around. I people on my job don't make a big deal about it and some even watch me work and move my very active feet around. I love to grab things with my toes and lay my feet, sole side up for the world to see a confident yet barefoot woman. I was wondering, I'm I the only person who is lucky enough to have the privilege of working barefoot? I feel so at home and comfortable barefoot at work that sometimes its a real struggle to but my shoes and socks back on to go home, especially if I've been barefoot for over 5 hours. If you are able to be barefoot at work, what kind of job do you do. THIS POLL IS AIMED AT THOSE LUCKY AND BOLD PEOPLE CAN AND DO REMOVE THEIR SHOES AND SOCKS AT WORK AS THEY PLEASE AND WORK BAREFOOTED. I think that would make for an interesting discussion and poll. Provide a repsonse and let me know, I'll answer all request for email conversations.
Flexing my dirty soles and getting paid,
Tanya
