Tickling: Torture or Fun?

For me, tickling has always been just fun. I think, it's a great way to make others laugh and have some funny times! So,it's pretty clear I prefer that kind of tickling where the ticklee is free to move and tickle back. But there are two very different types of tickling: One type is gentle and funny. But the other type is just torturing. It's when you hold a ticklee down for a VERY LONG time and tickle him until "next spring" ... That's not so funny any more. Now I want to know which type of tickling you prefer and if you thing tickling in general is more torture or fun...
