The Batman Sequel poll

Answer these questions about the sequels to Batman Begins. P.S. There may be spoilers, so if you don't want any info about the sequel revealed, then please leave. Also, keep in mind, these are all rumours, but they come straight from the studio and not from fans.
I'll start with the villains. Here's a list of the rumoured villains for the sequel: The Joker, Salvatore 'Boss' Maroni, The Penguin, Roman Sionis/The Black Mask, and Mr. Earle (from Begins). What do you think of this cast of villains?
It's great. I love the line-up of villains for the sequel. A lot of villains is good.
It's a good selection, but do they really need that many villains?
No, I'd rather have one or two villains. What they have going for the sequel is too much.
Here's the direction The Joker will go in: "The Joker. I won't spoil things for you but those expecting an exact translation of [the character] from the comics, in terms of costume, you will be disappointed. However, let may say that this Joker will be the 'The Joker;' the way character is written is very faithful to [how] he is in the comics and I can see why WB is not interested in actors like Crispin Glover or Johnny Depp. Let me clarify what I said about The Joker's appearance. As far as his physical appearance goes, it seems pretty faithful to the comics - although it's never really explained why he will look the way he does. So no make up or permanent smiles on his face. As far as his costume, by 'exact translation' I mean the kind of translation that has been seen in 'The Animated Series' or Burton's 'Batman.' I never said anything saying that we might not see The Joker in purple at some point. The Joker will be the central villain, although he isn't directly connected to the other 'villain plots'. He won't be zany and clowny but rather, in keeping with the tone of director Chris Nolan's films, will be dark and frightening with a broad smile under his wide-brimmed hat. Don’t expect a “Nicholson-ized” Joker -- not in terms of how The Joker looks, acts, or is motivation. This will be something totally different, but true to the spirit of the character. His white skin will be natural (read: he doesn't wear white make-up), while the rest of his “Joker look” necessarily may not. The look of The Joker's smile, may be a nod to 'Gwynplaine' and the 1928 film THE MAN WHO LAUGHS". What do you think of this direction of the character?
It's very, very cool and exciting. I can't wait to see him.
It's an interesting direction, but it's not really setting my world on fire.
I perfer "Nicholson" version of The Joker.
Roman Sionis is a villains who's face is perminantly warped by a black mask; hence the name, Black Mask. Here's his role in the sequel:“Another will be an industrial heir not unlike Bruce Wayne - in fact it could be said that he is a dark mirror of Bruce. Over the course of the story, he will be forced to present a new 'face'. Linus Roache is most certainly back seeing as how there may be some flashbacks showing Thomas Waynes' ties to 'Ambiguous Mob Boss,' and a scene showing the relationship The Waynes' had with the late parents of 'The heir'. 'The heir,' will be more a villain to Wayne himself than Batman - causing a rather interesting sitiuation where Bruce will find all his identities under assult". What do you think of this?
Since the character has never been in a Batman movie before, I find this all quite interesting.
Meh.
Sounds terrible.
The Penguin will be in this film, but he wont be a sewer mutant; he'll be a British Arms Dealer in a small, cameo role. What do you think?
It's an interesting version of the character.
meh.
I perfer The Penguin as a sewer mutant.
Salvatore 'Boss' Maroni will be an ambiguous mob boss with ties to Thomas Wayne, and will taking over Falcone's territory from the first movie. What do you think?
Interesting.
meh.
Who cares about mob bosses?! I want freaks!
Mr. Earle will be feeling bitter about Bruce Wayne firing him (from Begins), so he'll go to Cobblepot for his revenge on Mr. Wayne. What do you think?
Cool.
meh.
I really, honsetly, don't care.
Rachel Dawes is most likely going to get killed in the sequel(s). Out of the two rumour possibilities, who should kill her?
The Joker
Two-Face (in the third movie, or at the very end of the second)
If Rachel does get killed, what leading lady should take her place?
Vickie Vale
Selina Kyle (pre-Catwoman)
Katie Holmes may not return, and a fan favorite for her replacement is Jennifer Connelly. What do you want?
Katie Holmes - continuity needs to be kept between the films.
Jennifer Connelly - Katie Holmes SUCKED!
Another woman entirely.
Out of the leading candidates for the role of The Joker, who should play him?
Lachy Hulme
Jude Law
Hugo Weaving
Paul Bettany
Any of the four would be excellent; I don't care.
Karl Urban (DOOM) is rumoured for Black Mask. What do you think?
He's excellent.
He's okay.
Meh.
he's not that good of a choice.
He's a horrible choice.
Out of these candidates for The Penguin, who should play him?
Bob Hoskins
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Either of them would be good; I don't care.
Hoskins is also rumoured for 'Boss' Maroni. What do you think?
Excellent choice.
Good choice.
Meh.
Bad choice.
Horrible choice.
Out of these candidates for Harvey Dent/Two-Face, who's the best person for the role?
Liev Schreiber
Jake Gyllenhaal
Josh Lucas
Any of these three would be great; I don't care.
Now for the storyline of the second movie:"As for the villains' plot, the mob boss and the heir get involved with a major arms deal with the 'British Guy,' while Batman and his allies attempt to foil it. [As a result,] they uncover more of the corruption plaguing Gotham. Unfortunately for both sides, nobody knew there was a Joker in the deck who complicates matters. There is a small subplot about Wayne trying to help fund the clean up and rebuild The Narrows -- particularly [one] involving a massive tenement complex that will be the setting of perhaps the most spectacular action sequence in the film. In BEGINS, the theme was 'fear;' in The Sequel, it may be 'duality'". What do you think?
I'm very, VERY excited.
It's not really setting my world on fire, but I'd say it's an exceptable storyline.
It pales in comparrison to Begins' plot.
Now for the storyline of the third movie:"The next one would have Batman enlisting the aid of Gordon and Dent in bringing down The Joker...but not killing him, which is a mistake they made in the first one. In the third, the Joker would go on trial, scarring Dent in the process, and eventually turning him into Two-Face". What do you think?
It's AWESOME!
It's cool.
It's okay.
It's bad.
It's horrible.
Here's Christopher Nolan on his Batman trilogy and the direction it will go in:"Yet the immediate response to Batman's standing up for what's good is a proportional escalation of evil, and that's not philosophical—it's not that it will always be that way—it's about how bad things have to get before things become good. Batman is positive, but I believe that, in the first couple of years, he's going to find an increasingly negative response from society, because the truth is that, when you have a powerful, negative city like Gotham, it didn't become corrupt by accident, and those entrenched people are going to respond very vigorously". What do you think?
COOL!
Meh.
Whatever.
Christopher Nolan's brother, Jonathan Nolan (Memento), is writing the second movie's script. What do you think?
This is great. With Jonathan Nolan writing the movie, it'll definately be a smarter movie than Begins.
He's a good writer, but I doubt he can beat the awesomeness of Batman Begins.
I don't care about who writes the film.
The first sequel is said to be a hell of a lot darker than Batman Begins (not in the sense of being more gothic and bizzare). What do you think of this?
This is great. Batman shouldn't be dumbed down for kids.
This sucks. How are kids supposed to enjoy the next Batman film now?
I have no comment.
Christopher Nolan is reading many Batman comics to try and get his next two Batman films as faithful to the source material as possible. What does this mean for you?
It means that the next Batman movies will be the best superhero movies ever!
Nolan should be making these movies his own; like Burton and Schumacher. He shouldn't be controlled by books with pictures.
