Smackdown vs RAW: ECW Invasion. Roster Cut Off date?

Every year we always seem to get screwed over with certain wrestlers missing or appearing in the following years game especially tag champs at the time like La Resitance, LonDrick and MNM.
When in the blue hell is the cut off date for wrestler additions? Would be good if you could explain why you think so aswell.
