The following albums are the results of countless polls of metalheads around the globe voting their top ten metal albums of each year (save for early 70s, when only a few were selected). Some bands are questionable about whether they are metal, especially slipknot and nirvana, but since there is no official definition of metal and enough fans have voted these albums then it's not for me to say they shouldn't be included. There are some sad omissions, some favourites of mine like 'The Crimson Idol' and 'Darkness Descends', but as I said, it's the votes that count. Albums are listen alphabetically by album, not band, but the word 'the isnt included (e.g. The System Has Failed is listed under S, not T). So, choose your 10 favourites and enjoy =]
