Is this a fitting punishment?

I recently read a case which took place back in the 1970's. A man who had been raping and torturing little girls ever since he was 13, and who was again released from prison, was abducted by the mother and aunt of a 5 year old girl who he raped and tortured. After stripping him and tying him up, they made him get erect, and then covered his p enis with honey. They then inserted it into a cage containing a couple of rats. The rats then proceeded to eat off the man's p enis. Now this is a very brutal punishment, and I'm not saying it was right for the women to do this. But given that he had raped and tortured six little girls, tell me what you think about what happened.
