high school sports initiations

I am trying out for our varsity baseball team. Almost no freshmen at our school make varsity teams but baseball isn't very popular (track is king!) so I might just make it. But older guys have started joking around about the rookie initiation. I think they are just trying to get me scared (and its kinda working), but Im wondering if other high school athletes have had to make it through initiations?
