Tommy Vercetti vs Carl Johnson

In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the protagonist was Tommy Vercetti. In its sequel, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the protagonist was Carl 'CJ' Johnson. Vercetti was a former mafia member who had a lot of experience and didn't stand any nonsense eg when he squared up to Sonny Forelli before the final shootout. CJ was a street hoodlum but was also a bit of a wimp at times eg when Catalina threatened him. Vercetti being a mob member was more appealing than CJ being a street gangsta. However, one strength that many people overlook with CJ is that he could swim, whereas Vercetti could not, neither could Claude before him (GTA3). In addition, CJ could speak plenty unlike Claude. However, I did prefer Vercetti since he was voiced by Ray Liotta from Goodfellas, one of my favourite films. CJ was voiced by Young Maylay, a rapper. Which protagonist did you prefer
