Renewable Energy and Climate Change

Climate change has captured the headlines, and governments around the world have responded with heavy spending on renewable energy technologies. Where do you stand on these issues? -- From Energy Insight
Which renewable energy technology do you feel is the most promising?
Biofuel/Biomass (Any)
Biofuel/Biomass (Non-food only)
Concentrating Solar
Geothermal
In-stream Hydro
Ocean Wave/Tidal
Solar Photovoltaic
Wind
Would you buy a house near a large wind turbine?
Sure, it would be a bonus.
Maybe, but only if there was a generous price discount.
Never, not for any price.
Is your country's government doing enough to support renewable energy development?
The government should be doing more, with higher spending, incentives, legislation, education, etc.
Government spending and incentives are at the right level when balanced against other issues.
The government should be focusing on other, more important issues.
Do you live "off grid" in terms of energy use?
No, I'm still completely "on grid."
I generate a portion of the energy I use, but not all.
Yes, my home is entirely self-sufficient.
I generate more than enough power and sell the excess back to the grid.
Where do you stand on the "climate change" issue?
It's our fault and we need to fix it before it's too late.
Human actions may be a factor -- or not -- but we should clean up our act anyway.
It's just part of the natural cycle, there's nothing we can do about it, and there's nothing to worry about.
It's all bogus, there's no such thing as climate change, it's just junk science and a money grab.
