Short trousers for all schoolboys

I believe all boys should wear short trousers. When I was a child wearing shorts were not an issue as they were the English way of life. I am against short trouser punishment. Dressing and treating children juvenile is a privillege rather than a punishment. Please decide if my views are correct.
