The Holy Bible vs Everything Must Go

Two brilliant Manic Street Preachers albums from the 1990's. However, both are different in music style. The Holy Bible, released in 1994, was a hard rock album with heavy, dark lyrics. This is mainly because the lyrics written by rhythm guitarist Richey Edwards reflected his personal problems eg the song 4st 7lbs. Edwards disappeared in 1995 and is presumed to be dead. In 1996, the three remaining Manics recorded Everything Must Go. This album is more melodic and the lyrics were largely written by basist Nicky Wire. Everything Must Go fitted in better with the britpop movement of the mid 1990's. Personally, I prefer The Holy Bible because I was a fan of Richey Edwards. What album do you prefer?
