A while ago, Animals Australia conducted an investigation in Indonesia in regards to the unethical treatment of Australian exported cattle before arriving to the country. Over the past 30 years 2.5 MILLION and counting animals have died on ships as a result of negligence. Australia has control of the safety and welfare of the animals because they are the ones responsible for sending the animals to the Middle East because of the trade agreements.

Australia has no control what so ever of the safety and welfare of the animals. Once they arrive in these countries they became apart of their custom and practises.

Instead of sending these animals to such far distances to be killed inhumanly and unethically, what do you believe is a better option that will benefit both the animals, the farmers and the Australian economy? -More than one option is allowed-

Killing the animals humanly and ethically here in Australia.

Killing the animals in Australia in our abattoirs (slaughter houses).

Killing the animals here in Australia and send the meat frozen packaged at a fraction of the cost as oppose to shipping them of to Middle Eastern countries with cruel transport methods.

Opening up more abattoirs here in Australia means more jobs for Australians.
