TITANIC!!! Could the Titanic have STAYED AFLOAT LONGER in A HEAD-ON COLLISION?

TITANIC was SEVERELY DAMAGED starboard (right side), with five compartments PUNCTURED below the water line, after hitting an iceberg, the ingushing water flooding the watertight bulkheads -- (they were NOT sealed at the top) -- with one compartment after the other flooding continuously toward the stern, causing the ship to go down by the head less than 2.5 hours after hitting the iceberg. The ship was designed to stay afloat with ONLY FOUR compartments flooded.

There are many among us who believe that TITANIC would have STAYED AFLOAT long enough for ALL of the passengers (instead of the fewer than one third who survived) to be rescued by the Carpathia if the ship had simply stayed its course and rammed the iceberg head-on. Do you agree?
