Which Green Mile villain was worse?

The 1999 film The Green Mile had two nasty villains - the sadistic prison officer Percy Wetmore and violent prisoner William 'Wild Bill' Wharton. While the two guys hated each other, at one point I couldn't decide who I hated more - Percy or Wild Bill. After a while, I had to decide that Wild Bill was worse, but I was glad that both got their comeuppance. What do you think?
