Do any of the following affect your motivation to vote? Choose all that apply.
The astounding list of federal political scandals throughout both parties (look up List of Federal Political Scandals in the United States).
The diminishing of the Bill of Rights. New laws in the last 10 years have diminished 6 out of 10 of the Bill of Rights of the constitution.
Conflict of interest - The very people who have power to declare war are people who benefit tremendously by going to war
Conflict of interest - Top executives of huge companies are allowed to approve their own applications from within the FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.
That at least 80% of US citizens do not trust their government - according to several large 2010 polls.
The source from which I get my news puts me in a rage against the other party.
17 Republicans and 16 Democrats have been convicted of sex scandals in the last 10 years - many involving children
The rate of increase in convictions over the decades of local and State politicians (pages and pages)
That the party system tends to keep anything from progressing. The most powerful and wealthy do not want anything to progress.
The trillions in dollars that are wasted in greed within the healthcare insurance industry. (ie: over 50% of legitimate claims are initially denied, $billions are spent to resubmit denied legitimate claims, CEOs get paid $tens of millions each in salary and more than that in gifts and fringe benefits).
The discrepancy of wealth (just one of the 13 most wealthy families is worth over $500 TRILLION dollars in private wealth).
The 13 most wealthy families own controlling interest in every single industry in the world (kind-of like Monopoly).
For decades Congress has approved Hersheys, Nestle, Cadbury, and most other huge chocolate companies to use chocolate suppliers who use primarily trafficked and sold child slaves as labor - no evidence has been found for Hershey using any sources of non-slave labor.
The "groupy" voters who do not know what they are voting for or against, but vote straight ticket.
That private families own the Federal Reserve
That citizen's tax dollars are used to subsidize, long-term, Walmart employees. Meaning citizens pay part of Walmart's labor expenses
That government has a welfare attitude toward huge conglomerate businesses even if they are making record-breaking profits.
That banks use the people's money to loan-out and the bank makes the interest (often times as much as even almost 30%). When people can not pay a mortgage, the interest and the principal becomes the property of the bank.
9/11 DATA. IE: The number of powerful people who benefited tremendously from the 9/11 attacks who were safe. - - - The astounding amount of evidence that was not included in the 9/11 official report. - - - That Osama Bin Ladan and two of the accused hijackers were on the Department of Defense payroll - - - That only $3million was initially allocated for the 9/11 investigation (total spent=$15million) while $47million was spent on Clinton/Lewinsky investigation and $48million was spent on Reagan/arm-for-hostages. - - - etc., etc., etc.
That fluoride is added to the public water supply in most states to prevent tooth decay. There is no indication fluoride decreases tooth decay (tooth decay was in a pattern of decrease from brushing which the addition of fluoride did not affect). Fluoride is shown in over 24 studies to to cause a decrease in intelligence - other studies show a significant concern for it's cause of a significant number of other important health problems.
OTHER REASON(S) - Feel free to leave a message.
Several Conspiracies
Parties use religion as a tool to get votes.
Every president for decades have been members of secret societies like Skull and Bones
If I vote, my voting decisions are based primarily on (Choose all that apply):
Trust of my party
Hatred of the other party
Fear of the other party
Religious fears
Religious matters
A careful look at the issues involved from several perspectives
The official voting history from that politician's website
Personal interests (health care, inheritance laws, etc.)
Business interests (tax agenda, non-restrictive laws, etc.)
Would you rather have security or freedom?
Security - even if it means I can wrongly be detained indefinitely with out a charge or a trial - even if it means I do not have any privacy - even if I am not allowed to own a gun.
Freedom - you know, just how it is now.
Freedom - many died for our freedoms - I demand a trial if I am detained, I demand privacy, I demand the right to grow my own garden, and own a gun.
Are you aware of the number of people who are being detained for the sole purpose of peacefully demonstrating (holding a banner or sign on public property)?
Yes
No
