Our school would not require a school uniform. However, there would be some rules: Boys need to wear proper trousers and a shirt. No jeans allowed. Girls must wear a skirt or dress. No pants allowed. Would you like that?

Our school should always be clean and tidy. There would be nice floors - maybe even carpet - to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. In order to prevent any dirt from being carried into the building, students are required to store their street shoes in their lockers. They may change into stlippers for indoors. (BTW, that's common in Scandinavia and in many Central European countries.) Would you like that?

What are the reasons for your choice?
On the first school day of each month there would be a fire drill where all students and staff need to evacuate the building immediately and assemble at the football field. After about 10 minutes - after all classes have been counted - people would be allowed back into the building again. Students would not be allowed to take their bags or outer clothing with them. Of course, they would not be allowed to go to their lockers to change into their street shoes. Would you like that?

In our school it would be important that discipline is kept, so that we maintain a good learning atmosphere. Each infraction would result in a consequence. However, punishments should always be fair and not excessive. At the beginning of each term students would be allowed to pick from a punishment catalogue. Whenever they break a rule, they would have to face the consequences they have chosen themselves. How would you like this idea?
