âÂÂNo matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away, no matter what.â âÂÂBarack Obama in June 2009, and again and again and again!
Well not exactly everyone. Millions of Americans have lost their health insurance due to ObamacareâÂÂs high standards. Like it or not, they will be forced to buy insurance on the exchanges and probably pay higher premiums. That is if they are able to access the affordable care website before their insurance is cancelled. In an effort to sell Obamacare, Obama apparently deliberately misled the American public and our congressional leaders. LetâÂÂs not forget Obamacare needs roughly 7 million enrollees to be successful. So much for grandfathering in existing plans! In an effort to save face, the administration is now blaming the insurance companies. Common sense tells us, policies that wonâÂÂt sell due to government regulations will be canceled. And Jay Carney says, âÂÂA lot of people will be able to keep their plan if they like it, even if itâÂÂs not quite everyone, and those who are getting dropped from their plans will get more comprehensive coverage on the exchangesâÂÂ. Not quite everyone! Does he really think that remark will pacify the millions of people who have lost or will lose their current policies! It would be fair to say that many Americans are outraged and feel betrayed by this administration. The truth lays buried deep in the pages of this bill no one bothered to read at the time of its passing. If this isnâÂÂt enough, we now know that Michelle OâÂÂbama has ties to the website contractors and I might add a one-bid contractor. With senate seats on the line in next yearâÂÂs election, democratic senators, thirteen at last count, who refused to budge on any changes, delays, etc., in the mandate, are now singing a different tune. It would appear that damage control is at a fever pitch now that the cat is out of the bag as the realities of this horrific bill are beginning to hit Americans were they can least afford it . . in their pocketbooks.
