The rate of breast cancer in women under 26 is extremely small. And the rate of breast cancer in teens is so small that it's all but unheard of. Yet doctors routinely examine the breasts of women and girls in these age groups. Should doctors skip the breast exam in females under 26 years old unless there is a family history or the girl requests it?
