Do you support the Humanities and Media Literacy for 21st century education?

I believe that Media Literacy is as important as learning how to read in the information age, but both of these fields are still vastly underfunded compared with technical fields like science and math. If you don't think that these areas of study are very important, then I'd like to know how you think.
