Do guys go barefoot more than girls?

I've experienced that many guys go barefoot at home or during P.E. at high school, even during outdoor P.E. Yet the girls leave their trainers on. In their spare time they wear sandals and flip-flops, but when we arrive at home it's as if only the guys take their shoes and socks off. Maybe this is just because I live in a strange town where most people on bare feet are mostly guys instead of guys and girls equal. But nevertheless I'de like to know what you have to say about it.
