If you're a boy, boarding schools seem to be dangerous places for your testicles. A previous poll shows that 90% of boys that attend such school have witnessed a classmate hit in the balls and two thirds have seen a classmate take a full-force kick between the legs at some point during their stay.. The problem seems to be far worse at Catholic schools.

Hitting a boy in the groin was strictly forbidden.
This kind of rough-housing was tolerated outside of the classroom as long as it didn't get too rough.
This was seen as hi-jinx - the staff rarely intervened.
