Election 2016 Issues

1. Yesterday Hillary Clinton attempted to back track her statement about putting coal miners out of work by telling us her remarks were "taken out of context". Oh really! Her exact words two months ago were, "We're gonna put a lot of coal miners and coal companies outta business". It is no secret that she plans to continue Obama's efforts to move away from coal as an energy source and pursue solar and wind as an alternative. Both are more expensive to produce and will cost the American consumer around 29 to 39 billion dollars per year. One in five coal miners have already lost their jobs since Obama's "reign" and Clinton confirmed that her plan would eliminate many more jobs. Do you agree with Clinton's plan to lay off more coal workers or disagree?

2. It appears that Donald Trump will win the nomination, if you are a Republican will you vote for him even if you prefer someone else?

3. Sexist remarks are nothing new and most women have heard them at one time or another. If you are a woman, will Trump's female gaffe's stop you from voting for him or do you take them in stride knowing that not to do so would be to alienate most men on this planet.

4. Free college tuition sounds great, doesn't, it but have you considered the ramifications? Do you want to be beholden to the federal government for this free ride and wait, nothing is really free. Regardless of who the candidates tell us will foot the bill ultimately the price tag for this freebie will be on the shoulders of you and me. Do you agree or disagree?

5. Do you agree or disagree that the best possible scenario for this country is for big government to get out of the economic arena, stop initiating trade agreements and policies that adversely affect small businesses and benefit only large corporations, eliminate costly business taxes, thus creating a more favorable environment for start up businesses to flourish and multiple creating new jobs and opportunities. Do you agree or disagree?

6. Our military is at the bare bones minimum in many respects and at a time when are adversaries are many and becoming more bolder as each day goes by. Do you feel that if nothing else, our government is and should be responsible for providing the best military "machine" our taxes dollars can afford?

7. Social security was enacted when the average life span of men/women was around 65 years of age. Today people are living much longer yet the retirement age has not budged upward much since then. Do you agree or disagree that 70 years would be a more realistic retirement age. Would you be willing to work to that age if it meant salvaging the program?

8. At the latest Trump rally in Costa Mesa, California, protesting reached levels not seen since the Vietnam War or Ferguson. Do you agree or disagree that protesting reaching levels of violence and destruction does the "cause" more harm than good?

9. During the protests, many people were waving Mexican flags as well as signs saying "Make America Mexico again". Do you find this unpatriotic and disturbing especially when the current administration is turning a "blind eye" to the border situation.

10. Obamacare is no success story. United Healthcare has pulled out of most of the Obamacare exchanges due to heavy losses and as of November 1st both the premiums and deductibles will drastically be climbing upward. 20 million Americans are still not insured and those that are, are complaining about everything from doctors to lack of medical availability. Are you disappointed with the Obamacare report card?

11. In addition to the failed Obamacare program, the treaty with Iran is another "dog" that should have never been enacted . . and to think that our tax dollars ($150 billion) have been allocated to a country that "hates" us. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

12. Islam is more than just a religion but also a way of life. Do you think that those of the Muslim faith are more interested in promoting their beliefs than in integrating and accepting Western values.

13. Do you find the Sharia Laws antiquated, chauvinistic and cruel and see no place for it anywhere in our country?

14. Countries in Europe are already making life style changes due to the disruption caused by Muslims esp. the men who are making it unsafe for women and children to ride on trains or walk in certain areas. Should that happen in the United States would you feel outraged that a group of people granted safety and asylum would behave in such an ungrateful manner?

15. Do you feel that if elected, Trump's business experience will help him to select the best people for his cabinet.

16. You don't need to be an economic genius to realize many, many manufacturing jobs have been lost due to trade agreements most notably Nafta. With companies closing operations here and moving out of the country, Carrier being one of the latest, our middle class is on the brink of extinction thus the rise of Donald Trump. Who can blame the millions of Americans now forced to work low paying jobs to support their families, if they can find work at all, for turning to someone who feels their pain! How many more Detroit's do we need! Do you agree or disagree that trade agreements were created mostly to benefit corporations and not the American worker and are largely responsible for so many jobs and companies leaving the United States?

18. After last night's victory in Indiana, do you think the Republican party will now "come around" and vigorously stand behind and support Donald Trump?

19. Do you think that Rudy Giuliani, NY city's mayor during 9/11, would make an excellent choice for Director of Homeland Security?
