Circumcision: Risk v. Benefits

Surgery is serious business. It's only done in cases where the benefits clearly outweigh the risks, so if you're going to circumcise your otherwise healthy boy there better be some serious benefits and very little risk!

Is circumcision all it's cracked up to be? How does the amount of tissue removed affect the balance? How safe is it compared to another benign procedure often done to baby girls?

There are only two doctors in your town that perform circumcisions: Dr. Kowalski and Dr. Lewin. They both charge the same. Kowalski always cuts only a minimum amount of foreskin and leaves the frenulum. Lewin completely removed the frenulum and as much skin as he possibly can.
