Girls: Your reaction to 10 various situations

First, your age?

You are shopping at the mall with your best friend. She suggests that you plan a trip to the beach since it will be Summer soon and you agree that it would be fun. She says that she wants you to both buy some very small bikinis to wear to the beach. You have never worn anything like this before, but she is very enthusiastic about wanting you to wear one with her. What do you do?

You are in the back seat of your family's car and your family is going out to a restaurant where you'll be meeting another family, who are business colleagues of your father, and having dinner. Your father is driving and your mother is in the front passenger seat, leaving you and your brother in the back seat together. Your parents are having a conversation with each other and not paying any attention to you in the back seat. Your brother has said several times in the past week that he did not want to go on this trip because he has anxiety and does not like to eat dinners like this with strangers, but both you and your parents dismissed his complaints and told him to "Just get over it." Now, as you approach the restaurant, he is visibly nervous and fidgets uncomfortably in his seat. You ignore him at first, but then you feel a touch on your hand. You look down and see that he has grabbed your hand and is holding it firmly. His hand feels cold and a little shaky. How do you react?

A boy you like, who lives in your neighborhood, asks you if you would like to go with him and his friend to watch a movie tomorrow. You agree, and then he asks if you could bring a friend. You take this to mean he is suggesting a double-date, so you eagerly accept and say that you'll ask your best friend if she can make it. You call her and she agrees to the double-date. The next day, the 4 of you meet up at the theater. It turns out that the friend of the boy you like is another boy from your neighborhood and your best friend can't stand him. However, he doesn't know this and he flirts with your friend right away, and you can tell she is immediately getting annoyed. When you take your seats, your friends whispers to you urgently and says "Sit next to me." You realize that she is asking because she does not want to sit next to the boy she dislikes. This means that the only way you can help her is to have her sit on one end, you next to her, the boy you like on your other side next to you, and the other boy at the opposite end. Doing so would very obviously be awkward and might make the rest of the date uncomfortable, as it's clear you'd be intentionally splitting up your friend from the other boy. How would you react?

You and your family are at the mall. Your parents bump into a couple they know and begin chatting, so you ask if you and your brother can go into a nearby electronics store and look around. They give you permission and the two of you go inside. When you go inside, your brother freezes. You ask him what's wrong and he mumbles that he knows another boy in the store and that he's a jerk. That "jerk" notices you and walks over, and then you notice the very pretty girl who's hanging on his arm. Apparently she's the jerk's girlfriend. They greet your brother and their voices are dripping with sarcasm and mockery as they ask him why he's in a store when he can't afford anything, and why he's out at a mall shopping by himself. The jerk's girlfriend laughs and says "Oh, he's never been able to get a date, let alone a girlfriend." Your brother looks incredibly uncomfortable and mumbles "Well, I need to go." He turns to leave the store but stops because you're in his way. How do you react?

Your family lives inside a gated community neighborhood, which incudes certain amenities for residents such as a gym and swimming pool that are free to use. You decide to go to the pool one day and you see the boy in your neighborhood who you like is already using it and he's swimming by himself. You excitedly get changed into your swimsuit and join him in the pool, where you have a fun time talking and splashing each other. After a while, you find yourself sitting next to him on the edge of the pool with your feet dangling in the water. Suddenly he says "Oh, I saw something funny on my phone earlier!" He turns around, grabs his phone that was laying next to his pile of clothes, and returns to sit next to you. When he does, he leans in close and holds the phone between you both so that you can see it easily as he finds whatever it is that he wanted to show you. You feel his free hand wrap around your waist and hold you tightly. How do you react?

You have been on several fun dates with the boy like you in your neighborhood so far and you are very hopeful that you could officially become his girlfriend on the date you have planned for today. However, you had to go with your mother to watch your brother at his baseball practice, and you wound up stuck in very bad traffic on the way home. You're now very late for the date and you can't tell the boy because your phone's battery is dead, so you rush into the bathroom and hurriedly get undressed because you are sweaty from sitting out in the heat earlier and need to shower. You then hear frantic knocking on the door and your mother's voice saying "Sorry, sweetie, but I have to shower right now! I have to meet your father at his work party and I'm really running late!" You yell through the locked door that you're late as well and need to shower for your date. Your mother replies "Sweetie, I can't be late for this party or your father will flip out! Let's just get in together, okay?" How do you react?

You wake up only a few hours after going to bed one night and notice that lights are still turned on in the house even though everyone should be asleep. Wondering if something is wrong, you get up and sleepily exit your bedroom without even changing out of your t-shirt and panties. You get to the source of the light in the living room and see your brother sitting on the couch, with his head in his hands, next to the lamp that's switched on. Still half-asleep, you ask him what he's doing up so late. He's initially startled by you and tries to tell you to just go back to bed and not worry. You persist in questioning him and he finally tells you that he was texting back and forth with a girl he likes earlier in the night and he confessed to her that he likes her, but she turned him down and said she had no interest. Now he's unable to sleep and feeling sad and depressed. How do you react?

Your best friend texts you and says that she is going to the mall with a few friends from her neighborhood and asks if you'd like to join them. You're bored, so you agree in the hopes that you can find something nice to wear on your next date. When you arrive, you notice that your best friend and her 2 other friends are all wearing short skirts and you came in jeans. You decide to ask them about it. One of the girls tells you "Oh, I just love this style. It's so cute and girly." The other girl says "My boyfriend told me that boys prefer when girls wear skirts, so I always do." You inquire about this with your best friend, who says "It's true, I've heard several boys say they prefer skirts." You're surprised and a bit embarrassed, since you don't own a single skirt and have never worn anything except jeans, long pants, and shorts. Your best friend guesses what you're thinking and says "Hey, you're dating that boy in your neighborhood now, right? Maybe he would like it if you wore skirts, too!" The other girls nod and agree enthusiastically. One of them says "Let's get you one today! We'll all pitch in and buy a really nice one for you. Oh, but it has to be super short! Or even a mini-skirt! And you have to wear it out of the mall. Deal?" How do you react?

One evening, your boyfriend invites you to go to the neighborhood's gym with him. You agree and have a fun time just using the treadmill while watching him do bench presses and use other machinery. Eventually he convinces you to use some of the other machines as well, and after a while you're both tired and very sweaty. The gym has restrooms attached to it, so he suggests that you both wash up a little before leaving. He peeks his head into the men's restroom and says "It's empty here. In fact, the gym is closed now, so we're the last ones inside. It will lock automatically once we leave. Nobody else can come in right now, so you can just come in here with me." You don't want to refuse, so you nervously follow him into the men's restroom. You've never been inside one before, so you look around at the urinals and the rest of the layout as he washes his face at the sink. He finishes and steps aside to offer you the sink. You begin washing your face as he walks away. After a few seconds, you rinse away some of the soap and are shocked to see in the mirror that he is using one of the urinals behind you. How do you react?

You wake up on a Saturday morning and remember that your parents are both gone for the day until they get back in the evening, meaning that it is just you and your brother at home until then. You get up and get dressed, then exit your room. Immediately you smell pancakes and are confused. You go to the kitchen and see your brother standing by the stove and making them, and he's only wearing a pair of underwear. He turns, smiles, and says that he's made plenty if you want any. How do you react?

BONUS QUESTION ON ABOVE SCENARIO: You accept the pancakes that your brother made and enjoy them. He explains to you that he didn't bother to get dressed because he was more comfortable staying in just underwear, and he didn't think you'd mind because of how you walked out during the night in your t-shirt and panties a few days ago.
