Fostering hate so close to 9/11

in this time of rememberance of crisis, most media, including MSN are still fostering hate towards Michael Jackson, even though fans have proven they don't listen. do you think hate should be fostered by such powerful forces within the USA, (such as media) when the whole idea behind the 9/11 attack is that a lesson should be learned: that we have all learned what hate looks like, because our attackers leveled it against us, so we should not want to be like them, even on the smallest levels?
should the media foster hate towards Michael Jackson, so close to 9/11, when the lesson we learned from our attackers is, we don't want to hate like them on ANY level?
