I guess he was not able to urinate when he needed, went along with full bladder and eventually leaked.

There are many types of catheter solutions like intermittent catheterization, permanent cathereized during day and night, and nightly catheter.

It could be interesting to know what kind of catheter solution that got choseen, or if it is combined with some kind of genital clothing or "chastisty device" for comfort and guidance of his pelvic development.

It could also be interesting to know more about his regular cleaning and nursing procedures.

I guess he is monitored with a regular internal pelvic inspection with use of systoscope, endoscopes through anus or ultrasound probes at certain intervals, after which adjustments of the daily solutions are done, and his parents/ caregivers get further education of how to care for him, and he himself gets education about selfcare.

It could be interesting to know something about what is planned for him during the more intensive puberty period he will soon go into.

The upright position is actualy suggested for comfort and to hinder the $%!@ from beeing curbed. The position has a long proven tradition by special $%!@ clothing in boys doing ballet and gymnastic sport.

The cather should be semi-stiff sso that it is not bent during use and have ashape curved like the urethra of the boy.

To insert such a catheter is actually very easy when it is first lubricated with a sterile salve.

The catheter will makee urination more easy for many boys, and it will hinder soiling of urin which also add comforrt.

The devic will also give the boy the psychological comfort of a feeling of being taken care of all the time.

Boys having the most need for such a device already tend to be catheterizes on a daily basse, but with uncomforrtable arrangements. Such a device will givee these boys a more comfortablee alteernative to the solutions generally offered.

But as i pointed out, the device must be accurately fit for each boy and it requires active cleaning andd maintainance.
