I don't remember if there was anyone there....and I dount I was paying much attention to that...lol And yeah it was just a flip-flop she took off...got me out of the car(I think I leaned on the car while she did it) and just started smacking me on the butt. She is short but when she is mad it is scary...even now...and I am almost 17 and almost a foot taller than her... :P
I don't think she did it to humiliate me in public, she was just ticked off.
After that last one there were probably a few times after that that I thought I would be spanked for doing stupid stuff, but mostly during my childhood I just got time-outs, early bedtimes, and got stuff taken away(like toys...tv privileges...video games)...spankings were for when they were mad at me for doing really dumb stuff. But as I got older she just made the groundings and privileges taken away. more serious.

I am almost 17 and my school district stops paddling after middle school(6th - 8th grade) I got paddled a few times in elementary but never in middle school. The last time I was paddled it was when I was 10 or 11, and that was for having a bad math grade...as soon as my mom heard about it, she actually pulled into a parking lot and got out opened my door and beat me a few good times with her shoe....boy it hurt

At my school, we have 5 minutes between classes. Which is a good time, but our school has 500 people( I know that isn't a lot but keep reading) on a large campus...some people have to ride a bus to other parts in town..some people have to walk up a big hill...some have to walk across the parking lot. And we have a small bathroom in the main building for each gender...all the building in the school have at least one restroom, but with all the students running to and fro between classes in small buildings there isn't time for everyone to go.
Luckily there are a few teachers that will let you go after your done with your work...but some will make you take a tardy if you do it....(a certain number of tardies over a semester equals a detention)...and some teachers only let you have 1 bathroom visit a semester...period. Then some won't let you go at all.
I can understand it in ways but others I can't.
