How much can you bench press (adult men & women) ?

Looking for the old results?
I'm interested in seeing how much weight people can barbell bench press. Keep in mind that I mean while maintaining good form and without any lifting assistance (i.e.. no arching your back a foot off the bench, no bouncing the bar off your chest to gain momentum, no bench shirt, etc...). I'm must set this criteria to allow comparable results. Otherwise with wildly varying techniques, the results would be inherently skewed.

I have included responses for both the incredibly strong and extremely weak (e.g. Strength trainees/Professional power lifters and extremely obese/skinny/inactive people). Remember that even power lifters should be selecting their highest bench with "near perfect" form and not what they can attain with power lifting rules (as already detailed). I will break it down by age and gender to get some more specific results. Be sure to check out my other polls once you finish with this one. Penis positioning during puberty affects it's final shape?
