Correct somechick121. The female results are the MOST skewed. I have concluded that ALL the question results are definitely erroneous for the highest selectable weights. I had expected this would happen when I made this poll.

Best thing is to use common sense and ignore the results for the highest weight selections. Then you get fairly honest results. Keeping in mind it's athletic minded people most likely to answer this poll. So results are still higher than you would expect if random people were surveyed (instead of them finding the survey).

The less people participating for a given question, the more "messed up" the results are from pranksters (since there are less REAL responses to offset them). This explains the increasingly erroneous results on questions for older surveyors (regardless of sex) and females in particular.

Wade. This Poll is not intended for powerlifting stats. I clearly said this poll is only for lifts using perfect/unassisted form.

I mentioned powerlifting stats for comparison sake only. To show that even those females using powerlifting competition form (bouncing bar, overarching back, butt off bench, special shirts, etc..) couldn't lift the weights amounts being selected here. People using that form would be disqualified from the criteria of this poll.

They can use it legally all they want in powerlifting competition, or for their own personal records for that matter, but that is irrelevant here. Everyone must use the same form so the results are comparable. Few people are well trained powerlifters, so we can't use that as the standard.

Please work on your reading comprehension Wade. You may be a redneck, but that doesn't mean you need to follow the stereotype. Be better than that.

Yeah, it's silly to have age limits of only months. Who really goes, "ohh your 5 months older than me, that's too wierd". I don't know anyone in there right mind narrows down their dating choices that close to their age (months).

I'm already 21 now, but as a child I never slept or walked around nude. My parents would probably think I was a weirdo if I did, but I never found out (since I never tried it). The closest I got to sleeping nude is jacking off to help relax myself, and then falling asleep with my $%!@ hanging out of my pants. Nor did I go underwearless. I use to play block tag/hide in seek, late at night which my parents didn't say anything about (I'm not sure if they were even paying attention though). I was allowed to have friends stay overnight because my parents knew I wasn't a troublemaker.

Please visit the poll I have set up for post pubescent men (those finished with puberty, physically adults) to answer, entitled $%!@ positioning during puberty affects it's final shape? . Though the poll is to be answered by those finished with puberty, the results will be of most potential benefit to younger guys (going through, or about to go through puberty). Thanks.

The responses for the female category seem to be more realistic since my last post, but things still seem skewed. It certainly is possible that the results are true, if the ladies responding are mostly power lifters or heavily into weightlifting. I highly doubt it though. The world record for a natural powerlift benchpress by a women is around 300 pounds. Of course you must keep in mind that I am asking in the poll for the maximum lifts "while maintaining good form". In powerlifting competitions, people typically overarch their back and lift their butts off the bench, anything to push the maximum poundage. So these lifts would be disqualified for responses in this poll (bad form). Still, I realize that their maximum lifts with good from would be fairly close to their competition lifts (slightly lower, during training they definitely use good form to prevent injury).

Even if the female results are from entirely honest answers, the poll would still need a revision to more accurately pin-point the higher lifts poundage numbers. But I mean come on! The jokers (be them male or female) responding so that the results say around 25% of women (overall, including all ages) can benchpress over 225 pounds (with good form) and nearly the same percentage amount for 10 reps of 200+ pounds (with good form) need to cut out the bull-$%!@. That's why the majority of online polls are turning into utter garbage. I'm not expecting scientifically sound results, but I think within the bounds of reality is a pretty reasonable request.

So to remedy this dilemma, I will be wiping out only the highest selectable choice for the female categories (225+/200+). In place of this I will add on additional high end poundage choices for females, to increase response accuracy (pin-point the poundage as I said earlier). A nice side effect of this change is that I will be able to tell if the answers are bogus, should the highest selectable poundage categories for ladies continue to be selected at the same rate (despite raising them from 225+/200+ to 275+/225+). That would make it immediately and indubitably apparent that losers are attempting to perpetuate false results for this poll.

A lesser revision I plan to make, is to add on is some lower poundage categories for men, to account for those who are physically disabled or just old. I may also add on some related questions dealing with this and other fitness condition/routines for both genders and all ages. This should all be put into effect within the next couple of days (today is 10/5/03).
