I am in college, and always go barefoot to class and the library, etc. I have noticed once guys see me getting away with it, a lot of others shed their shoes too. Knowing you can "blaze a trail" like that, will it affect your public barefooting?

In some cultures, showing the bottom of the foot is a serious breach. For instance, in Thailand it is almost illegal, esp. in temples. So when visiting you have to remember sometimes you can't put your feet up on the table.
