No, a Christian woman need not have long hair.
Yes, a Christian woman should wear her hair long if possible.

Paul's instructions are only relevant to his own period.
Paul teaches that a woman's headcovering is long hair.
Paul is simply teaching that women should wear women's clothes or that women should dress modestly.
