Japanese Internment was the forcible relocation of Japanese-Americans by the U.S. after the Japanese government attacked Pearl Harbor. The internment of Japanese-Americans was the immediate reaction of the U.S. government based on a perceived threat posed by this group. Roughly 120,000 Japanese-Americans were removed from their homes and placed in various internment camps for many years. This lead to loss of property and separation of families.
