Photographer - male or female

I am a photographer (http://imagesprophotography.com) and I sometimes see requests posted requesting specifically a female photographer. Most of the times these are by a male wishing to be photographed nude, or wanting photos of their Wife/GF. Occssionally it will be a woman making the request. Since most photographers are male the posts would not indicate a realistic picture of most people's preference and I think it is not what people would expect.
