Now some England captain related questions. When David Beckham, the then Captain, shaved his hair there was outrage. Should the skipper be able to have "outrageous" hairstyles and fashion statements or should they stick to leading by example as a "safe" and respectable kind of role model?

100% (4) Yes, wear and look like however they want
0% (0) No

Should anyone with any kind of bad reputation, be it in recent memory or long ago, not be considered for the Captaincy? For instance, John Terry lost it over racism claims but Steven Gerrard was arrested for affray after he punched someone in a nightclub, albeit a few years ago but still while he was in the public eye.

0% (0) The England captain should be perfect in every way as the next generation's role model and any kind of unsavoury incidents however long ago should stop someone being Captain.
75% (3) While Captain he should set an example but past misdemeanours before he wore the armband should be forgiven
25% (1) It doesnt matter what he does off the pitch at any time, as long as he leads by example on it
