Length of shorts for young men
Shorts are practical and comfortable wear for many sports and outdoor activities especially in warm and moderate climates. In earlier times (1970's?) shorts were short - mid-thigh or less. Then they became much longer and far less practical and comfortable, driven by "fashion". At the same time, many boys and men seem to have become much more bashful / shy / prudish and fatter and less fit. I am not suggesting any cause and effect relationship but there does seem to be a correlation.
