Mark, deleting a question should not trigger a re-review. Only actual editing of content.

Due to Google's ad policies getting more restrictive, we have had to change our reviewing process and can no longer take volunteer reviewers. Because of this, review times have inevitably gotten longer. I apologize for this, and we're thinking through some ways to change the site up to avoid this issue.
