Those polls are no longer on the site. Sorry.
In the same location as the flip flop in the previous post, at the side of the road for the past month there has been a pair of flip flops that are a camouflage print on the soles. A few days ago I happened by and noticed that there are now two black flip flops there, one with a very broken strap not fixable and one still wearable. Someone upgraded in the same spot again! They look a bit smaller than the others. I might try to go get the single wearable one if I can.

Since you kept your shoe you must like it and you should still wear it. In reality 99% of people won't notice or care you have one shoe on and the 1% that do secretly want to be in one shoe too. More of us go out in one shoe or boot than you think. 87% of women in one poll I have said they have lost on purpose or abandoned one shoe or boot and 68% have done it more than once! Most wear their single shoe again. So you have nothing to be embarrassed about wearing your cute ballerina.
Start by wearing it inside at home to get comfortable with just the one and start going just outside to do small things and slowly increase your outside time with it as you go. Wear dark socks or stockings to start. The first few times you go out go after dark. The trick is if you wear it inside for a few hours before going out with it on you'll get so used to being in one shoe and you'll forget and just leave like that without thinking about it. So get that lonely shoe out and start wearing it!
I have several single shoes/boots and wear them all the time. :)
